7 tips for living toward your purpose
Traditionally, new opportunities come with a new year....
Personally, I haven't participated in it for a long time. And by that I mean, a new year does not necessarily have to equal new opportunities. Every day is a good time to live towards your goal with new courage!
By the end of January, we usually realize that it takes just that little bit more to manifest those well-intentioned resolutions in our lives.
I believe in behavior change only when you are fully prepared to redirect your old beliefs to positive thoughts that help you instead of sabotaging you, and you yourself step by step free up space for new habits that fit who you are. Do this from the inside out. Follow your own pace and enjoy being "on your way".
With the following 7 traits from Stephen Covey, you will surely succeed in taking control of your own life:
#1 Be proactive
How do you focus your energy on the things in your life that you can do something about yourself?
#2 Begin with the end in mind
What does your destination look like? Find an image to match.
#3 Important issues first
As long as you have "no time" for it, your good intention is not at the top of your priority list. Is it something you really want?
#4 Think win-win
No one likes to lose. What are you willing to give up and what will you get in return? What benefit from your old behavior/situation will you take to your new one?
#5 First understand ... then be understood
We all have our own perception i.e. we all look at the world through our own glasses. As a result, we form our own value judgments, give our own interpretation to what we see and form our own beliefs about how the world is and how it should be. Why is your intention so important to you?
#6 Synergy
This is where the magic happens. You create something completely new. You gradually build relationships and capacities.
#7 Keep the saw sharp
Physically, spiritually, socially and mentally.
With these questions in mind, you are already one step closer to your new habits.
Maybe you feel like you're not on the right course all the time. So what? As long as you know what your course looks like and you know how to pick it up again and again.
