This privacy policy covers the processing of personal data by Travvant, which has its registered office at Posthofbrug 12/5, 2600 Berchem and is registered in the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises under the number 0696.737.439.

Travvant collects personal information from clients, candidates, customers, suppliers and visitors to our website.

Travvant declares that, as Controller, it complies with Belgian privacy legislation as well as the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation as of its entry into force.

General Data Protection Regulation

The General Data Protection Regulation (AVG) , also known as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), is European legislation that has direct effect within the European Economic Area. As of May 25, 2018, these regulations replace the Act of December 8, 1992 for the protection of privacy with respect to the processing of personal data

Your privacy is important to us. In all processing within our organization, we handle personal data and customer information very carefully.

Where this privacy policy refers to personal data, it refers to this definition from the Regulation.

No special categories of personal data are processed. Processing special categories of personal data means:

Processing of personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership, and processing of genetic data, biometric data for the purpose of uniquely identifying an individual, or data concerning health, or data relating to an individual's sexual behavior or sexual orientation.

Processing of personal data includes the collection, storage, recording, alteration, compilation, retrieval, consultation or destruction of personal data.

Travvant collects personal data for different purposes and on different bases.

  • General purposes as a (potential) customer or supplier
  • Providing (pre-)contractual services

Travvant processes your personal data in order to provide our services to you. For example, we use the data to make an offer at your request and then execute the contract, maintain the relationship with you in relation to the order, and send an invoice.
We also use the data to respond to requests for information.

The legal basis for providing (pre-)contractual services is the maintenance of a contractual relationship and the formation or performance of an agreement or contract.

The legal basis for processing your personal data in the context of career counseling and outplacement is the legal basis.

The legal basis for processing your personal data as part of inplacement is your express and explicit consent, which you may also withdraw at any time.

  • Involvement of and sharing with third parties

Travvant, as Controller, may engage other parties to carry out an aspect or part of the provision of services on your behalf; this may include, for example, an external consultant, trainer, assessment psychologist, or an external test(s) system as part of the coaching, or ICT system or platform through which we perform our services, for example, a crm system or e-learning platform. To the extent these third parties need access to personal data to perform these services, Travvant has contracted appropriate contractual, technical and organizational security measures to ensure that these third parties only use or process your data for the intended purposes and in accordance with the instructions we have agreed with these third parties.

  • To share with third parties for legal reasons

We may share your personal information with third parties if we believe that access to and use of the personal information is reasonably necessary to (i) comply with applicable laws, regulations and/or court orders; (ii) prevent or detect or resolve fraud, (future) security issues or technical problems; and/or (iii) protect the interests, properties or safety of Travvant, our users or the public to the extent consistent with law.

We offer you the opportunity on the website to send us your cover letter and CV in the context of (open) applications to Travvant.

The legal basis for the operation of your personal data in this context is the legitimate interest, it is necessary for the application process to run smoothly.

  • Marketing and sales activities

Travvant likes to inform customers about offers, innovations and other relevant (subject matter) content related to our services, in accordance with the regulations applicable to this, or because you have given your explicit consent to do so. We may do this by phone, email, newsletters or direct personal contact.

The legal basis for providing marketing and sales activities is your express and explicit consent, which you may also withdraw at any time.

Travvant does not sell your information to third parties under any circumstances.

  1. Retention periods

Travvant does not store your personal information for longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the information was collected. The retention period depends on the nature of the information and the purposes of the processing.

In the context of outplacement - and career counseling, your personal data will be kept in accordance with the specific legislation, being 10 years.

In the context of inplacement: 1 year (takes effect after completion of pathway).

The following rights with respect to personal data are exercisable upon written request.

  • Right of access and inspection

You have the right to know about your personal data at any time, free of charge, as well as about the use we make of your personal data in accordance with the provisions in force in the sector.

  • Right of rectification, deletion and restriction

You are free to communicate your personal data to us or not. In addition, you always have the right to ask us to correct, supplement or delete your personal data.
You may also ask us to restrict the processing of your personal data.

  • Right of Resistance

You also have a right to object to the processing of your personal data for serious and legitimate reasons.

  • Right of data transfer

You have the right to obtain and/or transfer to other controllers your personal data processed by us in structured,common and machine-readable form.

  • Right to withdraw consent

To the extent that the processing is based on your prior consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent.

  • Automatic decisions and profiling

The processing of your personal data does not include profiling, nor will you be subject to automated decisions by us.
