When am I entitled to outplacement?

  • You have at least 30 weeks' notice or compensation.
  • You have less than 30 weeks of notice to perform and you were at least 45 years old on the date of your discharge, and you worked continuously with your employer for one year.
  • You have less than 30 weeks notice to perform and are under the age of 45: no legal framework has been established but you can also get outplacement guidance: Career Transition. Please contact us for more information.
  • You were not fired for an urgent reason.

Do you have a notice or allowance of less than or 30 weeks?

Then you are entitled to outplacement guidance only if you meet these three conditions:

  • You worked for a private sector employer,
  • You were at least 45 years old on the date of your discharge, and
  • You worked continuously with your employer for one year.

The offer provides outplacement guidance in accordance with collective bargaining agreement 82a : 60 hours of counseling for 12 months.

You have at least 30 weeks' notice or compensation, then you fall into the general regulation of outplacement regardless of your age

  • Do you have a notice to perform?
    • You are entitled to 60 hours of outplacement for 12 months
    • Your employer is responsible for the counseling cost
    • You have 4 weeks to accept or decline the offer
  • Get a termination fee?
    • You are entitled to 60 hours of outplacement for 12 months worth a minimum of 1/12 of the annual salary of the calendar year preceding the dismissal (minimum €1800 and maximum €5500)
    • Severance pay is reduced by 4 weeks of pay
    • You have 4 weeks to accept or decline the offer
