General regulation

The general regulation of outplacement applies to the employee who:

  • Fired after Jan. 1, 2014.
  • Was not fired for an urgent reason.
  • Is entitled to at least 30 weeks' notice or a corresponding termination fee.

The age of the dismissed employee has no relevance. Whether the employer belongs to the private or public sector is also irrelevant.

In addition, the law provides for other types of outplacement:

  1. The specific regulation of outplacement for employees at least 45 years old;
  2. The specific regulation of outplacement in the context of an activating policy in restructuring.
